The Great Pyramids of Giza are without doubt, Egypt’s most famous attraction.

Built over 4,500 years ago, the Great Pyramids of Giza continue to captivate the world with their monumental size, precise construction, and enduring mystery.

Khufu is the largest, using approximately 2.3 million limestone blocks. Standing alongside are the majestic pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, each showcasing the incredible engineering feats of ancient Egypt.

Nearby, the Great Sphinx of Giza serves as the guardian of the Giza Plateau. Carved from a single block of limestone, it has the body of a lion and the head of a human.

Visitors can view the iconic structures from different vantage points within the complex, each providing an iconic photo opportunity. Camel rides can also be arranged on the day.

PYRAMIDS OF GIZA & GREAT SPHINX

Saqqara is a vast necropolis brimming with awe-inspiring archaeological wonders.

Located on the outskirts of Cairo, this captivating and historical site holds profound significance. It is here you will see the Step Pyramid of Djoser which dates back over 4,600 years and is the world's oldest freestanding stone pyramid.

Beyond the Step Pyramid, Saqqara offers a chance to see various tombs and burial sites. The site boasts numerous mastabas, flat-roofed and rectangular-shaped tombs that housed the remains of nobles and high-ranking officials. Among these, the Tomb of Ti and the Tomb of Mereruka are particularly noteworthy, adorned with stunning murals and intricate carvings that depict scenes from daily life in ancient Egypt.

SAQQARA PYRAMID COMPLEX

A starting point for Nile Cruises and gateway to Abu Simbel, Aswan offers a blend of ancient highlights & breathtaking landscapes.

Located at the southernmost edge of Egypt, Aswan is known for its serene atmosphere, colorful culture, and rich history.

Explore the stunning Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and beautifully set on an island. Take a peaceful felucca ride along the picturesque waterways, or stroll through the vibrant Nubian villages, where you can learn about the region’s traditions and savor local cuisine. Come explore Egypt’s most famous Royal Burial Ground, including an astounding concentration of ancient sites.

The West Bank of Luxor holds unparalleled historical significance as the final resting place for Egypt’s pharaohs, queens, and nobles. It one of the world’s most significant archaeological regions and is also the location for hot air balloon rides.

The Valley of the Kings is its most famous site, where over 60 tombs are located, including Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Seti I. Visitors will be astounded by the preservation of wall paintings found here.

Valley of the Queens and Temple of Hatshepsut showcase Egypt’s royal women via elaborately decorated tombs and temples.

Famous temples include Karnak Temple, with its spectacular complex of sanctuaries, kiosks, pylons and obelisks. You can also see the nightly sound and light show here. Luxor Temple is another site worthy attraction, particularly stunning at dusk when the outer walls are fully illuminated.

LUXOR - WEST BANK

Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC, Alexandria is a blend of ancient, Roman and Greek influences.

Located about 220 kilometers (137 miles) northwest of Cairo on the Mediterranean Sea, visitors can access the region via an extended day trip or overstay stay.

Don’t miss the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground burial site for once wealthy residents and dating back to the 2nd century AD.

Next, is Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient lighthouse, the fortress holds a fascinating history and includes panoramic views of the coast.

From Moez Street to the famous Hanging Church, come explore a tapestry of history and culture in “Old Cairo”.

Begin your journey at the Citadel of Saladin, an impressive fortress built in the 12th century to protect Cairo from Crusaders. Within its walls, you can visit the stunning Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known for its grand architecture and panoramic views of the city.

Next, immerse yourself in Coptic Cairo, the heart of Egypt’s Christian heritage. Here, you’ll find the Hanging Church (Saint Virgin Mary’s Church), Coptic Museum and Ben Ezra Synagogue,

Cairo is home to three must-visit museums that showcase Egypt’s extraordinary history.

The highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located near the Giza Pyramids, offers limited guided tours as it prepares for its full opening. Once open, visitors can expect to see the complete collection of Tutankhamun’s treasures, including his iconic golden mask. The museum will also feature interactive exhibits and over 50,000 artifacts covering Egypt’s entire history.
